We currently
own several Mechanical Dial scales. How can we get quicker
and more accurate readings using these scales? |
 |
Our solution is economical and improves
scale resolution. We remove the existing dial section,
attach the correct rated load-cell to the stilyard rod,
and then attach, terminate and calibrate an electronic
weighing indicator. This saves the cost of a "new"
scale base. If the old scale was for instance 1000lbs.
x 1lbs. , the new system will now read 1000lbs. x .1lbs. |
 |
We have our own process
for testing most of our equipment, i.e.; block gauges,
micrometers and some scaling equipment. Do we need certified
weights to perform verifications on our scales? |
 |
Depending on how your current scope
or process is set up, it may be necessary to have calibrated/certified
weights on site to assist in your documentation for internal
as well as external audits. It also depends on the capacity
and classification of the scales. |
 |
We have several electronic
scale indicators that are used in our production areas.
We would like to get the weight information sent to our
computers or printers. Can this be done? |
 |
Typically, if a scale indicator or balance
has the means of sending/receiving data via an RS-232/20ma
port, the information can be sent and extracted to a peripheral
such as a printer or computer. Some software may be required
to depending on the serial string being sent or received.
In almost all cases, if the scale has a port, then this
is possible. |
 |
We have multiple tanks/hopper
systems. Do we need one scale indicator per system? |
 |
No. We have the capability to hook multiple
systems to one indicator. We utilize integrated A/D cards
in the system to read each scale and assign scale identification
numbers. You can have as many as eight scales to one indicator.
Calip-One can then link other scale systems to this system
and integrate all the data to a computer or other types
of peripherals. |
 |
Does Calip-One provide
Intrinsic safe and/or explosion proof scale equipment? |
 |
Yes, we carry a full line of IS and
XP equipment. We get confirmed classification of the area
and quote the equipment that will best suit the application.
Calip-One follows Factory Mutual (FM) obligations and
installation procedures to the letter. |
 |
Does Calip-One sell
and service Analytical or Top Loader balances? |
 |
Yes, beyond the industrial side of
scales, we offer a full line of Analytical and top load
balances for laboratory applications. We are highly trained
in the service/repair and calibration sectors of this
business. |
 |
Does Calip-One, Inc.
supply rental scales? |
 |
Yes, we support a full line of counting,
straight weigh or multiple scale systems to meet your
needs and requirements. We require a minimum of 3 days
for the order. We ensure that you will have your rental
on time and calibrated. |
 |
Our Company requires
ISO Documentation for calibrations. Does Calip-One provide
this type of service? |
 |
Absolutely! We are an ISO/IEC 17025
Accredited Company. Not only do we provide the required
documentation, we also provide a binder that carries all
the documentation for ISO Quality Assurance Departments.
This is a real benefit for the client, assessment auditor
and Calip-One. See our Technical Documents section in
this Website for examples of "Scale Data Certificates"
and "Standard Calibration
Reports". |
 |
Will we need to call
and schedule each inspection or calibration once we have
a Service Agreement with Calip-One? |
 |
No. We have a system in place that flags
us 1-2 weeks in advance for scheduled inspections. As
a courtesy we will call you and schedule the work so there
is no interruption in production schedules. |
 |
If we have an emergency
service call, what is your response time? |
 |
We are proud of our average response
time of 1 hour and 11 minutes. At worst, it will be the
same day as the call came in. We are open 7 days, 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year. |
